I am a 79 year old woman in an Assistant Living Facility. My computer skills were very limited , but I wanted to learn more and use my computer as a ministry. It is not easy to learn modern technology at my age, but I was blessed when Jackie Jones came to our facility to offer her services. She was very patient, understanding, kind and made the lessons so simple that I was able to learn and apply the skills immediately. She is a wonderful, hard working and honest Christian lady. Jackie Jones has been such a blessing to me and to the Blackstone Chamber of Commerce. I came into the office in late November, 2009 and found months and years of overdue projects to complete. The number one tool of most businesses is their website and this was no exception to the Chamber where I had just taken the job as Executive Director. I worked at trying to update the Chamber website and most of all, the member directory. I had NO luck as I could not get into the links and the program was not customer friendly. The Chamber website had not been updated since 2006 or around that time. Businesses were complaining that their business was not on the directory They had been members for years!
I knew I had to do something to make the Chamber website a first priority.
With this said, I luckily was in a meeting with the Chair of the Chesterfield County Chamber of Commerce, told him of my problems and he recommended a lady, Jackie Jones. Well, immediately he initiated a call and I got to speak to Jackie right at our conference room table. The excellent working relationship started that moment and in a few days the Blackstone Chamber had the beginnings of a brand new website, webmaster and web host. Jackie as taken much patience in working with me to develop an informative, functional, well designed, and recognizable website for our Chamber. I know I grated on her nerves at times, but she NEVER once faltered with a request I made. In fact, she has done nothing but encourage me to follow through until I had the product the Blackstone Chamber could be proud of!
Jackie works like the speed of lightening and is always ready for my updates and makes great suggestions for greater visibility of our website. She has worked diligently and most professionally with me through the entire process. We have yet to meet in person. I have had two telephone conversations with her since she started working with the Blackstone Chamber of Commerce as our webmaster. She and I talk over the internet daily..if only to say have a great day!
No job is TOO BIG or too small for Jackie. I find her to be a professional business woman and to be a friend. I am very lucky to have found Jackie Jones and she has contributed to making my job easier and in making our Chamber website standout and viewed by so many. JTEC/Jackie Jones is the designer and "Guardian" of the website for Elam Animal Hospital in Powhatan, Virginia. When Jord Construction made the decision to start a website a friend referred me to JTEC . It was one of the most appreciated and productive references I have ever had. Knowing absolutely nothing about webpage design it was crucial to have someone you could trust to put things together for you. After all, it is on the world wide web!
